What to bring
Pack the bag the night before
Campers need only a few things. We supply every material and tool.
A lunch and a snack
Packed from home, in a bag that closes. We keep water bottles filled, and tell us about allergies at registration.
A water bottle
Filled at home. The air is dry up here, so we stop for water between blocks.
Closed-toe shoes
For the studio floor and the orchard path.
A hat and sunscreen
Put the sunscreen on at home, and send a hat with a brim for time outside.
Clothes that can get messy
Clay, ink and dye find their way onto sleeves. A light sweater helps on cool mornings.
A backpack
One bag for the day, with your camper's name inside, so a lost sweater finds its way back.
Leave at home
What stays home
Camp is a screen-light day, and the studio is no place for things that can be lost in the clay.
Phones and watches
Campers can always be reached through the camp phone.
Games and toys
The materials are the plaything here, and a toy from home tends to go missing.
Rings and jewelry
Clay and glaze get into everything, and a ring is easy to lose in a bowl of slip.
All set for the first day?
